Job description

We’re looking for enthusiastic, skilled therapists (counsellors & psychotherapists) to join us as Qualified Therapists.

The positions are self-employed & involve offering both brief & open ended talking therapy to individuals. Couples therapy referrals are also available.

As part of our team you will receive all client referrals, administrative support & regular supervision.

We have part time hours available with shifts typically encompassing a minimum of three client hours.

Please note that we can only take on therapists who are able to commit to at least two of these shifts on a weekly basis.

Personal specs

The successful candidates will

–Hold a qualification that is recognised by the BACP, UKCP, BABCP or HCPC & follow their ethical codes

— Hold valid professional indemnity insurance

— Be able to work at least two of our available shifts on a weekly basis

— Be able to offer both brief solution focused interventions & long term depth therapy

— Be reliable, professional & conscientious

— Have engaged in their own personal therapy

— Share in The Clearing’s ethos

These positions are available from 3 January 2019.

Our clients

Most of our clients have self referred & therefore most of the therapy here is open ended, lasting as long as the client requires. In general our clients respond best to an integrative approach that leans towards an exploration of the causal roots of the issues. Knowledge & experience of working at relational depth with clients is therefore essential.

Hourly rates

After the initial half price consultation…

Qualified Therapists earn £22.50 per hour (£27.50 for couples sessions)

Hours

We are looking for therapists who can take at least two of the following shifts on a weekly basis from 3 January 2019 onwards:

Monday mornings 7am until 10.40am (3 client hours)

Thursday mornings – 7.40am to 11.30am (3 client hours)

Thursday mornings – 7.30am to 12.10pm (4 client hours)

Friday mornings – 7.40am to 11.20am – (3 client hours)

Saturday mornings – 9.10am to 1.20pm (4 client hours)

Saturday  afternoons – 2.30pm to 6.10pm (3 client hours)

Saturday  afternoons – 2.50pm to 6.30pm (3 client hours)

 

From the end of January we will also have a shift available on:

Tuesdays – 7.50am to 3.40pm (6 client hours)
